Refund & Pass Guarantee Policy

Friendly Summary

We want you to get real value from On-Call Board Prep. We understand it’s not for everyone, and we do not want to profit if you decide not to use it. Our goal is to contribute more than we take away.

That said, we have real costs, we protect our proprietary technology, and as a new, innovative application we need clear limits on refunds.

If you try it and quickly decide it’s not for you, we’ll refund almost all of what you paid.
If you were charged for one month before you remembered to cancel, we will likely make you whole for that month.
If you qualify for the Comprehensive Pass Guarantee and do not pass the oral examination, we will refund your Comprehensive purchase and provide Comprehensive access for your next attempt.
Simply maintaining an account incurs costs for us, so we can’t refund unlimited use.

Quick Summary (Most Common Cases)

Monthly — not for you (early): If you decide within your first three months that it’s not for you, cancel anytime. We refund up to one month of the most recent cycle, prorated for unused time. Please request within 30 days of your latest billing date.
Monthly — forgot to cancel: We can refund the most recent month only, prorated for unused time. Earlier months are not refunded.
Upfront (e.g., annual) — cancel within 1 month: Refund equals the amount you paid minus one month and the days since purchase, calculated at the discounted upfront rate.
Upfront — cancel after 1 month: No refund.
Comprehensive Pass Guarantee: Purchase Comprehensive Practice, complete at least 10 hours of active examiner time before the exam, and submit an eligible claim within 90 days of an official non-passing result. We refund 100% of the amount paid and provide one complimentary Comprehensive access period for the next attempt.
One‑off products: Session packs, study guides, and stem prep books are non‑refundable.

This Refund Policy applies to purchases of subscriptions and upfront (prepaid) plans for On-Call Board Prep provided by ON CALL LABS LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). This policy does not limit any non‑waivable rights you may have under applicable law.

Definitions

"Monthly Subscription" means a recurring, month‑to‑month subscription billed each billing cycle.
"Upfront Plan" means a prepaid, fixed‑term plan (e.g., annual) purchased at a discounted rate (currently 15% off the equivalent monthly rate when paid upfront).
"Comprehensive Practice" means the 18-month upfront plan that includes 20 hours of examiner time and full access to the Oral Board Listening Library.
"Active examiner time" means time our account records show you actually spent connected and engaged with the live examiner. It excludes stem review, paused or disconnected time, feedback generation and review, and time in the Oral Board Listening Library.
For calculation purposes, "month" means 30 days and "year" means 365 days unless otherwise required by law.

Monthly Subscriptions

Upon cancellation, we will refund up to one month of unused credit from your most recent billing cycle.
We do not refund prior cycles or past payments made due to a failure to cancel, other than the most recent cycle.
The refund for the most recent cycle, if any, is prorated for the unused portion of that cycle as of the date you cancel.
Eligibility window: Refunds for Monthly Subscriptions are available only during the first three (3) months after your initial subscription purchase (the "Eligibility Period"). If you have been subscribed for three months or longer, no refunds are available.
Request timing: To obtain a refund for the most recent billing cycle, you must submit your request within thirty (30) days of that cycle’s billing date.

Upfront (Prepaid) Plans

If you cancel within the first month after your initial upfront payment, your refund equals the total amount you paid minus: (a) one month, and (b) the number of days elapsed from your initial payment until your cancellation date. Proration is based on the discounted upfront rate.
No refunds are issued for upfront plans if you cancel more than one month after the initial upfront payment, except for an eligible Comprehensive Pass Guarantee claim.
Example: If you paid for one year upfront and cancel 28 days after payment, your refund equals your upfront payment amount multiplied by the fraction of the term remaining after subtracting one month and 28 days (i.e., one year minus one month minus 28 days), valued at the discounted upfront rate.

Comprehensive Pass Guarantee

The Comprehensive Pass Guarantee is purchase protection, not a promise, prediction, or representation that any Candidate will pass an examination. It is available only for Comprehensive Practice purchases made directly from ON CALL LABS LLC on or after July 30, 2026.

Eligibility

You qualify when every condition below is met:

You purchased Comprehensive Practice and are the registered account holder for that purchase.
Before your examination date, you completed at least 10 hours of active examiner time, as verified from our account records. You do not need to maintain a separate session log.
After that purchase, you sat for the Structured Oral Examination portion of the ABA APPLIED Examination and did not pass it.
You contact support@oncallboardprep.com from your account email within 90 days after the date of your official result notice.
You provide an official result notice sufficient to verify your name, examination date, and non-passing oral-examination result. You may redact unrelated scores and other information.
The eligible purchase has not already been refunded, reversed, or charged back, and the claim is not fraudulent or based on altered documentation.

What We Provide

We refund 100% of the amount actually charged for the eligible Comprehensive Practice purchase to the original payment method.
We add one complimentary Comprehensive Practice access period for your next attempt. It includes 20 hours of examiner time and full access to the Oral Board Listening Library for 18 months from activation.
The guarantee may be claimed once per person. Complimentary next-attempt access is not itself eligible for another Pass Guarantee claim, has no cash value, and may not be transferred.
The refund and complimentary access apply only to the eligible Comprehensive Practice purchase. They do not refund or replace Monthly Practice, Targeted Practice, top-ups, or other products.

How to Make a Claim

Email support@oncallboardprep.com from the email associated with your account and state that you are requesting the Comprehensive Pass Guarantee. We will verify your active examiner time and reply with instructions for providing the result documentation. Do not send unrelated personal or clinical information.

On-Call Board Prep is independent preparation software and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the American Board of Anesthesiology. The Pass Guarantee does not provide an ABA score, pass prediction, or guaranteed readiness.

How to Cancel

Go to your Account page while signed in and select Cancel subscription.
You will be redirected to Stripe’s customer portal to complete cancellation. Stripe may ask you to provide your email; they will send a message so you can confirm, sign in, and finish cancellation.
Stripe’s flow is subject to change. We will keep a clearly visible Cancel subscription button on your Account page that links to the current Stripe process.

How Refunds Are Issued

Refunds are issued to the original payment method. Processing times may vary by provider.
To request a refund, email support@oncallboardprep.com from the account email associated with your purchase and include your cancellation date.

Exclusions

Session pack purchases and other one‑off products (for example, study guides or stem prep books) are non‑refundable.
We may decline or limit refunds in cases of abuse, misuse, fraud, or material breach of our Terms.
Purchases made through third‑party platforms or marketplaces are subject to the refund terms of those platforms.

Where required by law, you may have additional rights (including mandatory cooling‑off periods or statutory cancellation rights). Nothing in this policy is intended to limit such rights.
